The image above shows the various ways in which animals go about taking care of their young’s start of life. Being full of short examples it may be helpful for some to have a more detailed list as is found below. “Time” indicates how long into the programme you need to go before the sequence starts. End time is only given if it does not fit with the start of the next sequence. Filming location is stated when it is given in the text. If (as happens most often in this particular programme) it is followed by “No show” it means that Attenborough does not appear on screen. Only a cameraman is responsible for the “task” of capturing that particular behaviour.
