The upper images show fruiting bodies in varying stages (24’25-24’40) but they take care of breaking down dead leaves (bottom images (25’30-25’34) and delivering the nutrients to the roots of the trees. Their invisible network of filaments covers the whole forest floor. The only parts that are visible are the fruiting bodies.
