Luxurious growth in a desert

When it rains in a desert it looks luxurious for the wildlife but actually it may not be so for some of them. Animals that are adapted to living in a desert may find it harder to survive; sound is all muffled and they lose the overview they are used to having.
A potter wasp

The pot wasp fills the pot with larvae she has paralysed with her sting to provide her developing egg, larva with fresh food before it exits the pot. The mother will never see her offspring.
You may wonder how the cameraman managed to film the egg inside the pot since it presumably wasn’t provided to the wasp at the start (with a camera already in place). Maybe it was put there during one of her trips to search for more food or during the cold and rainy spells when she was forced into inactivity. They probably opted for the simplest way, doing it in the studio after the egg had been place inside the pot.
