A pretty typical Attenborough, playing with words at every opportunity.
The programme starts showing the front of a (German) Volkswagen beetle, that actually is claimed to be record breaking as far as sales of models are concerned and start the song “Drive my Car” naturally performed by the record breaking British band The Beatles – sold more records than any other.
During the short drive the focus of the camera drifts from the car to the beetle (a ladybird). Attenborough only talks about it as he has mentioned the other two, because the insects are not as popular as the other two but certainly (in his words) more successful. Then he delivers statistics to back his claims.
