Broadcast worldwide by Netflix
By joining Netflix there were obvious benefits in more money being available for a time-consuming and therefore expensive high quality documentary series.
The horrible downside is that anyone concerned with conservation would presumably have to pay the subscription fee just to enjoy what used to be for free. Ironically there seem to be examples of people being neutral when they accidentally turned on a free Attenborough programme and becoming interested by his part.
This will presumably not happen in the case of Netflix. Although, differently from BBC, it is worldwide people probably turn it on to watch something they have already decided.
